The MR2 Rally Car

Our Build of a 1989 AW11 into our very own mid-engine RWD gravel weapon. There are loads of MK1 MR2s going around circuits all over the world, much less competing in rallying and only a tiny handfull of those are fit to compete on gravel.

Well there will be soon be one more. Standing between between us and a career in filthy, mid-ship forest action is only the small matter of virtually no one ever having done one before and the fact that even the factory never intended for these thing to compete on anything other that asphalt.

For posterity, Here's how it happened............

In the Beginning.......... Let's have look at the base car.

Strip Club................. A quick update on stripping out the shell and trimming the loom.

The Master-plan............. The philosophy behind all the major mod's we intend to do.

Extra Scoop.............. How we fitted the a passenger side air scoop.

Scoop - Part 2............... Finishing touches to the scoop.

Roll Up.............. The early stages of a very nice roll-cage.

Stand And Deliver.............. How we leveled the shell ready for seam-welding and the cage fit.
